Gerry & Margaret Hennessey Coldwell Banker Tri Tel Realty says:

Dear Bobby:

Your company was recommended to us by a colleague in the business and we were delighted by the quality and speed of your work.

We have found that in today's business, the type of commitment to excellence which you demonstrated is quite uncommon.  Moreover, we admire your work ethic and approach to business.

Please do not hesitate to have future clients call us for the highest recommendation of your work.

With every good wish for the continued growth of your business!

Why choose us?
We are an independent family business that treats our customers like part of the family.  We do this by offering a fair price on all our services and products and our customer service is top notch. We try our best to work around your family’s schedule the best we can and if this means working weekends and longer hours to get the job done…we will do it!

We are confident that you will find our craftsmanship and work ethic to be impeccable. If we are not 100% sure we can do the best job for you we will recommend one of our partners that can.  There is no commission added to their prices as a kick back for us, we work on the basis of ”what goes around, comes around”.

Because of these things, Plastercraft has been getting more and more referrals and repeat business year after year.  Please take the time to read some our clients’ testimonials on this site or look at the Better Business Bureau of the Lower Mainland to see our clean wrap sheet.

Why choose plaster mouldings?
Quality, quality, quality!  People are becoming aware that plaster mouldings are not as expensive as they once believed and adding this touch of elegance into their homes can be done for half the price of real wood.

Plaster produces the most architectural and decorative arrays of designs and patterns that offer deep and crisp details.  You can create a more 'custom' look without the 'custom' cost.  Plaster will not expand or contract and there is consistency from piece to piece, which offers total freedom from knots and imperfections - which reduce waste.  Plaster mouldings are environmentally friendly and carry a zero flame spread rating.

The best feature - once it is installed and finished you get a near seamless finish throughout the room.

How do you install plaster crown mouldings?
The plaster mouldings are cut with a hand saw or a mitre saw.  It is then dabbed with an adhesive along the back of the mouldings, put into place, and using an air nailer (with aluminum pins) it is pinned to the wall and ceiling. Due to the materials we put in our mouldings for structural strength, there is minimal risk of shattering the piece when pinning it.  To finish it we use a plaster compound or a non-shrinking instafil.

If you choose to do the installing and finishing yourself, we will go into greater detail our finishing secrets with you on or off the job site.  The best part of installing plaster mouldings is that you do not need to be a master carpenter as small mistakes can easily be repaired

What are your fire surrounds made of?
We make our surrounds out a liquid stone mixture.  It is durable enough to handle the occasional bump and is heat resistant so it is perfect for gas or open fireplaces.

Can your products be painted?
Yes!  We recommend priming or sealing them with a non-glossy flat paint, but it is not necessary.  If you want to add color to your plaster elements we suggest using a flat paint, or one with a minimul gloss finish.  For ideas and pricing on faux finishing please contact Carly Bowman at www.vivofineartanddesign.com.
